Our story

We miss conversations that mean something. Maybe you do too.

We’ve all done it. Judged someone in a second, and been judged the same way. Texted someone for a week and never really talked. Felt more alone with an app full of people. We wanted something simpler: a real conversation with real people, face to face, from wherever you are.

Faces appear when the room opens. Romance rooms: 2 women, 2 men.

Our purpose

To make meeting someone feel human again.

Most of us don’t need more options. We need one good conversation with someone who is curious about us, and curious back.

That’s what a room is for. Three people, chosen for you, who turned up for the same reason you did. No profile to perform. No photo to live up to. Just 45 minutes to be yourself, and see who you get on with.

Because the best way to know someone has always been to talk to them.

Our philosophy

Nobody is their profile.

Somewhere along the way, we started treating people like options. Scroll, pick, scroll again. We got very good at saying no, and forgot how to be curious.

But a person is so much more than a few photos. They’re the way they laugh at their own joke, the question they ask back, the story they only tell when someone really listens. You can’t swipe on any of that. You only find it in a conversation.

That’s why there is nothing to browse here. You don’t pick people from a list. You sit with them, and you find out.

Turn up as you are. Let others turn up as they are. That’s where it starts.

Our features

Small things that make it easier to talk.

  1. We find your room for you.

Tell us a little about yourself and how you like to talk. We’ll seat you with 3 people who suit you. Not a lottery, and not a score.

  2. Nobody has to go first.

Every room opens with a question on the screen, so nobody has to find the first words. Answer it, laugh about it, or let the talk go wherever it goes.

  3. Your picks stay private.

At the end, you choose who you’d like to see again. If they chose you too, you both find out. If not, nobody is told anything.

  4. Keep talking, just the two of you.

If it’s mutual, a chat opens, and a video booth with no time limit. Take it as slowly as you like.

  5. Bring a friend.

Meeting new people is easier with someone you know. Invite as many friends as you like. If you both say yes, you can sit in the same room.

Our pillars

How we show up for each other.

  • Curious.

    Ask the question nobody asks.

So many of us are surrounded by people and still feel like no one really knows us. Not because there’s nothing to know, but because no one thought to ask. Each person in your room is carrying something you can’t see: a dream they’ve never said out loud, a place they miss, a story they’ve been waiting to tell. Ask about it.

  • Brave.

    Stay through the awkward part.

Meeting new people is a little scary, and that’s okay. The pause that lasts too long. The joke that doesn’t land. The moment you say something true and wonder if it was too much. That’s not the room going wrong. That’s the room becoming real. Every friendship and every love story started somewhere awkward.

  • Open.

    Let people surprise you.

We all have a type, and most of us have been wrong about it. The quiet one might have the best stories. The person you’d have swiped past might be the one you laugh with most. Give everyone the full 45 minutes before you decide who they are.

  • Kind.

Be gentle. Everyone here took a risk.

Everyone in the room was brave just to be there. They picked a time, sat down with strangers, and hoped it would go well. Some are nervous. Some just came out of something hard. You won’t click with everyone, and you don’t have to. But you can make sure nobody leaves feeling smaller than when they came.

Where we’re going

One day, a seat for you at any hour.

Right now, we only open rooms at the hours most of our members are free. That’s on purpose. A room only works when the right people are in it. As more of you join, more hours open, until one day there’s a seat waiting for you whenever you need one.

Who’s behind it

Just a few people who wanted this to exist.

We’re a small team, and we answer to no one but our members. No dating giant above us. No investors pushing us to keep you scrolling. We do well when you have good conversations, not when you spend more time on a screen.

And when you write to us, a real person reads it and writes back.
